Marketing & Media Data Support Analyst

Full-time Houston TX $100 - $65K Based on Experience.

We are seeking a talented Media Data Analyst that has a passion for working with data, backed with strong creativity and discipline. You will partner with media strategy team to ensure campaign objectives are measurable, timelines and expectations are clear and organized and answer the question, “is this TV ad campaign successful?” You will report to the Media and Marketing Manager and work alongside an experienced and close-knit team to support the analytical needs of the executive leadership.


Responsibilities:


As the Media Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering first-class evaluations and measurement options based on data to support our decision making in a reliable and efficient manner

Media Data Analyst will focus on marketing data analysis and insights.

Report and present on the success of marketing strategies

Lead the creation of measurement plans resulting in actionable TV media campaign insights.

Manage end-to-end reporting processes, including reviewing and being accountable for new reporting plans before launch

Media Data Analyst utilizes his or her skills to ask questions, turn data into knowledge, form conclusions, and make recommendations that enable Scripps to innovate, differentiate itself from competitors, work smarter, make better decisions, and enhance profitability.

Manage measurement expectations and partner across strategy, sales, and ad ops to achieve our goals

Ensure data quality, integrity of reporting outputs, and oversee issue escalation and timely resolution

Oversee and execute reporting and insights deliverables, timelines, and projects, including organizing and transforming disparate and multi-source data

Provide recommendations for optimizing future campaigns and testing new approaches holistically across the channels based on unique campaign objectives (recommendations may focus on audience, media tactic, channel, device, and non-attributed context

Be a data and reporting expert, providing and presenting insights and rationale laddering up to marketing strategies for your assigned category, clients and partners

Data Analyst role is a perfect fit for anyone who wants to continue to evolve business domain expertise alongside technical and analytical development.

You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders to standardize reports, pull ad hoc queries and perform analysis for troubleshooting issues as well as drive strategic decision making.

The team is fast moving and requires you to translate data into business impact, while efficiently working with leaders across sales, finance, product, operations and technology.


Experience and Competencies:


Strong analytical and data story-telling skills, ability to judge and quantify results and know what to do with that information

Some understanding of the digital marketplace and advanced targeting tactics, data management platforms, and digital media products and channels

Experience with data management platforms, aggregation tools; data visualization tools; proficient or expert in Microsoft Excel,

Nice to have familiarity with Tableau or Adobe Site Catalyst

Nice to have experience in digital advertising and/or digital media publishing industry

Nice to have relevant experience in analytics, reporting, media or optimizations


The right person in this role will leverage a combination of technical skills, business intuition, and analytical thinking to provide business insights that are relevant and digestible to key decision-makers.
